On January 1, 2015, we will become just the third parish in the Madison Diocese offering perpetual adoration. For over 10 years, thanks to the faithfulness of many of our parishioners as well as members of neighboring parishes, St. Aloysius Church has had at least 24 hours of adoration weekly. Early in 2012, growing interest in adoration allowed us to joyfully extend adoration to 48 hours. The spiritual fruit that these years of adoration have brought to the church and community have led us to commit to providing perpetual adoration. With your help, this New Year will start with adoration to Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament, continuing uninterrupted seven days a week, 24 hours each day.
Renovations are underway on the chapel in the former convent next to St. Aloysius Church. The chapel is being specially redesigned with a focus on adoration of the Lord. In addition, the area outside the chapel is being upgraded with off-street parking and well-lit, easy access making it welcoming inside and out. We hope that all Catholics in the area will make this a regional effort centered on our Lord. The chapel will officially be dedicated as the Mary, Mother of God Perpetual Adoration Chapel on January 1st by Bishop Morlino. This is an opportunity for you to find an hour you can commit to that fits your schedule any day of the week. Please join this perpetual offering by downloading a Perpetual Adoration Signup Form and returning it to St. Aloysius Church, 115 Madison St, Sauk City, WI 53583 or call the Divine Mercy Parish office at 643-2449 to sign up.
