Over the years, parishioners of Dvine Mercy Parish, at both St. Aloysius and St. Mary's, have been very generous in supporting parish needs. In March, we completed a feasibility study which showed strong support for a capital campaign.  Based on the Survey Results, and with much prayer and deliberation, we have decided to move forward with a campaign.  As explained in the Kick-Off Weekend bulletin insert, the campaign is named Our Families - Our Faith - Our Future, and will address three areas of need:  1) maintaining current facilities, 2) enhancing worship and community space and 3) investing in our faith.   The total goal of Our Families - Our Faith - Our Future is $700,000 of which $410,550 has already been pledged.  I ask that you would pray for the success of the campaign, welcome a fellow parishioner into your home to discuss the campaign, and prayerfully consider your own sacrificial gift to the campaign.  Our goal is to personally visit as many parishioners as possible between now and the end of May.  If you are interested in helping to make these personal visits, please contact Father Jared, and plan to attend the next training meeting, set for Thursday, May 10, at 7 PM downstairs in Room C.  Please open your heart and mind to consider how you can be involved.  Thank you for all you do for Divine Mercy Parish.

[1]   I am the Lord your God. You shall not have strange gods before me.

  • Do I give God time every day in prayer?
  • Have I been involved with superstitious or occult practices?
  • Have I ever received Communion in a state of mortal sin?
  • Have I ever lied in confession or withheld a mortal sin from the priest?

2]     You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

  • Have I used God's name lightly or carelessly?
  • Have I been angry with God?
  • Have I wished evil upon another person?
  • Have I insulted a sacred person or abused a sacred object?
